Community Plaza Equipped with Comfort Station
The Ellwood City Revitalization group (ECR) commemorated the opening of a comfort station at 518 Beaver Ave on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m.
The facility, made possible by a donation from the Hoyt Foundation, will provide 2 fully equipped restrooms, drinking fountains, and storage equipment for the farmer’s market.
The farmer’s market begins June 6 and will feature over 20 vendors. Parking accommodations have been altered to allow for easier access. The 3rd annual concert series will start June 20.
Most importantly, the men’s restroom includes a baby changing station. ECR President Lenore Bazzichi said, “Men are taking care of babies more and more now, so it’s time for restroom design to accept this.”
